Only done a few videos but what has been done - Dyer, Bent and Dyer/Eadie Best XI are all well worth a listen - some great nuggets in there including finding out how Marcus Stewart broke his jaw!

Problem for me is that Stat (and Cruncher on a similar note) have come across so irritating and arrogant in recent years that any good things like this that one of them does is too late for me as they’ve already lost a potential viewer with the earlier nonsense. And I’d bet I’m not alone

I’m not sure why Stat gets labelled like that, he’s nothing like that.

Each to their own, but I would advise giving it a listen and seeing from there - if you don't like Cruncher then you probably won't like TT as it is about him outting his opinions across, but Stat is excellent at the interviews, in letting his guests talk etc and really facilitates it well.

I know some find him a bit marmite, but I really like the bloke and wouldn't let that out you off missing out on some good content

Stat blocked me on Twitter ages ago. I genuinely can't remember our disagreement but I didn't think I was being particularly combative.

Tbf to Stat my dislike is probably abit unfair as it’s based on one incident about 4 years ago. He just came across like a complete pleb on twitter and even despite numerous people explaining he was wrong, he absolutely would not back down and acting proper arrogant. Never really interacted with him after that in all honesty.

Probably worth a re-appraisal if it was one incident and that long ago.

Probably. Albeit he doesn’t dispel that image in recent years with some of his twitter stuff that is unavoidable on the timeline.

If you think that you think that but can’t put him in the same league as Cruncher.

Not same league, but he's certainly pushing close to him.

They shouldn't even be mentioned in the same manner.

I have never met either of them personally but Stat comes across as a decent guy, asks good questions, listens to his guests, reacts intelligently and seems good at what he does.

Cruncher has this air about him that he is right, regardless of what the guest says to the contrary, constantly talks over his own colleagues and just comes across as incredibly rude. Plus he's constantly on some sort of wind up on Twitter.

Stat is a Dan Walker type to Cruncher's Richard Madeley.

I cannot imagine Cruncher being able to interview celebrity guests as respectfully and intelligently as Stat does.

Didnt he have a tantrum cos rhea club run a 'best kit' poll thingy on twitter and he had done it first and had the hump they 'copied' his idea, when every other fans of clubs was doing the same

Yeah that stubbornness sounds like a young me - probably defending Roy Keane. But over time I like to think I have improved. Hope you find time to watch the show when it comes out.

I think I woke up on the wrong side of the bed that day. But the club and I have kissed and made-up and I was proud to provide the stats for the programme last season and continuing next season.

Indeed, a little bit of a wind up merchant with some of the stuff he tweets - which I suppose some can take the wrong way - but that's rather different to being a gobsh1te like Bedsheet.
