Really good interview with Macauley Bonne from Stuart Watson on 07:42 - Jul 4 with 2065 views | Stu_boy | Could a further season long loan be an option? With an option to cut it short if it's not working. I really liked him, a loan could see us get the best out of him or if he shows the form of November onwards we havnt committed long term. Could be one to explore in a few weeks
Really good interview with Macauley Bonne from Stuart Watson on 07:51 - Jul 4 with 2009 views | BonneNIL | Just posted this myself, I am all for it, nice to read a player wants to be here for the right reasons, sure his second half of the season wasn't amazing, but we had players in the past like Murphy who were not always scoring but still contributed to the overall effort. Some absolutely hate him now though, much like they did James Scowcroft, Matt Richards, and most recently Luke Chambers. There is always one player that a core seems to really dislike, almost saw it with Woolfie towards the start of this season as well. Jackson is injured still, Piggott hasn't delivered, and we've lost Norwood, why not give Bonne another shot, he worked hard enough for it. If McKenna is the coach everyone is making him out to be, then surely he can get more out of him than Cook?

"then surely he can get more out of him than Cook?" Cook got more out of him than McKenna did with half a season. That's not a knock on McKenna, that just seems to be Bonne's career in a nutshell.

But surely if 'McKenna is the coach everyone is making him out to be' he'll get more out of Piggott. Stick with Piggott instead of spending more money on Bonne I say.
Really good interview with Macauley Bonne from Stuart Watson on 08:47 - Jul 4 with 1753 views | itfcjoe | It's great to read, but doesn't feel like a move here will happen - such a shame as so much promise last year. He's clearly a talented player, and a good goalscorer but not sure he's a fit here with what we already have and how we are trying to play - often looked a bit lost in McK's system.

McKenna sees Bonne as a "utlility striker" which I think is fair - he does everything reasonably well. I think he would be a great squad player or bench option & is way better than the hapless Pigott, but do we want to spend high wages & a loan fee on such a player? Much might depend on if we can shift Pigott - then a loan for Bonne might be an option.

I have seen Macca's career almost back to when he had a short spell at Stow Falcons. That's a long time! One thing I can promise you is that he is a natural finisher, right foot, left foot, head. It makes little difference. McK may not have seen it first hand, but there enough people around him who will be in the know.

Why do you keep trolling? Who does hate Bonne and what for? Talk about the facts not your illusions.
