The players when interviewed before the game stated that the first few games are always hard. Training never matches the intensity of an actually game. They were all running on empty. It was 28degrees pitch side yesterday. Hardly surprising they dropped off the pace. It may even explain why Morsy couldn’t lift the ball over the keeper in injury time.
