He was probably looking forward to coming back here, but he's out with an injury.

Given such a lengthy run without missing a game, it's sods law he'd pick up a knock before playing us isn't it.

Did you see the injury though? Bloke folded his ankle over in a pretty grim challenge. If I were him, I'd just be bloody delighted to ever look at getting back to the pitch again!

Yes. It was an absolute shocker. Really has no luck at all with injuries.

For all the history and problems with being injury prone, that was a career ending challenge that you can't do anything about.

That was ages ago.

Ade Akinbiyi couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo...

In the Colchester match program on Saturday the physio said 'it looks like it might be three or four months for Emyr". Tommy Smith is expected back in six to eight weeks.

That tackle would have injured anyone. Just be glad he did it against Colchester, not Town.

Tommy Smith injured in the same game, just had a chat with him at the gym where he is still in a moon boot - but he said was an innocuous challenge

I'd like to hear what he thought of Cooper's tackle on Huws. Colchester had to substitute a couple of younger players later in the game, because the red mist descended after Cooper scored. I heard Colchester were annoyed that the ref hadn't ordered Millwall to remove him from the game.

A top end Championship player if not higher imho. Just couldn't stay fit pretty much right across his career. A real shame.

He's only 28, so there's still time for his luck to change. But that Millwall player should be truly ashamed of doing that in a pre-season friendly.

Why break the habit of a lifetime of by being too injured to play at Portman Road?

I bet you think Tristam Nydam was a slacker too.
