If we played that game 20 times 22:58 - Aug 9 with 1125 viewsCopfordBlue

We would win it 18 or 19 times. Frustrating that we didn’t go in front when we were dominant early on. We handed them their goal and they then did a very good job of killing the game off .

Freak result, fringe players, Mickey Mouse cup. Roll on Saturday!

We play that game frequently. The only difference is that sometimes we draw. How many times do we have to dominate the possession, dominate the chances and not win, before some people accept that each successive result is not a freak or a one off.

It's only early days and we're unbeaten in the league. But the same problems persist from last year, and it's not immediately clear that the squad is better.

This was totally different from Newport, we battered them and somehow didn’t score - tonight we didn’t test the keeper after we went behind.

any concerns for you Joe, or is this just one to quickly move on from.

I'm worried McKenna hasn't worked out how to break defensive teams down and we are going to face a lot of that this season.

I like McKenna a lot, 100% behind him but he's still a long way from convincing me he is going to be a successful manager here and has plenty to learn - as would be expected with a rookie manager.

he does have much to learn, and it excites me that hes on that journey with us.

if we play this lovely style of football i can absolutely live with the odd occasion where we fail to make the most of it. if many are to be believed we are a striker away from being promoted this season, so lets get that man in and see what happens

What was hugely disappointing last night, was for all the possession and attempts did we really test their keeper? No. Apart from the first 25-30mins, it really was a comfortable night for Colchester United they really didn’t have to do a lot to get the win.

Still annoyed, apologises.

Wrong team picked for me, was treated a s a friendly and not enough thought given to the cohesion or the type of players picked

I'm not anti rotation but woth what we picked we left ourselves unbalanced
