Those saying why let simpson go then get his fella. For one, Simpson maybe strong, but this guy has a fantastic turn of pace and you can see a mini ladapo in his play imo. Stretches defenders, ready to pounce on through balls. Absolutely will be raw, but he certainly fits that profile KM speaks of.
Not averse to him coming here, but I still think we need another CF option who is 'proven' to some degree.
You want someone proven who fits our system, at a price that isn't exorbitant. I suspect that ship has now sailed and the choice might be between cheaply bolstering what we have or getting our pants pulled down for someone more proven.

If Ladapo gets injured, we have no-one with any experience to lead the line. It’s pretty glaring and obvious and exceptionally naive to give that responsibility to an unproven player when the stakes are so high.
