Londonites - train home after night games 17:02 - Jun 23 with 1940 views | unbelievablue | Planning the games I will get to this year and wondered what the consensus is - rush out/leave early for the 9.44pm, or wait for the 10.23pm? I have to get from LLS/Stratford to Belvedere via Woolwich so in theory I can DLR to Woolwich pretty late and connect to a Southeastern but they are every half an hour at that time, whereas the 9.44 might conceivably get me on the last Liz line home. Londonites - train home after night games on 17:10 - Jun 23 with 1873 views | Steve_M | Rush out on 90 minutes to get the 21:43 (or 42 or 44), the latter train adds about an hour to the journey back which makes a big difference for me in terms of work the next day. It might even have a bar on it, although that is highly variable these days with GA.

Makes sense. I just checked and the last Liz line train to Abbey Wood is 11.09 so I should make that from the 9.44 too. Home by 11.40pm as opposed to 1am would make a big difference as you say.

It’s highly variable if you get a train at all isn’t it? There are only two (league) home mid week games scheduled I see.

Ha, true. Either Wigan or the evening game before, I managed to ninja the change at Stratford and was back at Camden Road for 23:05.

With the extra subs & time wasting unfortunately you're going to have to miss more of the game to get the 21:43. What utter nonsense - I went to many 7:30 kick offs at PR in the past when you knew the final whistle would be blown by 9:15.

Londonites - train home after night games on 17:26 - Jun 24 with 1395 views | PrideOfTheEast | I used to wait and get the later trains but the difference is quite big. I now almost always get the 21:44 but that does mean missing the last few minutes. I say the difference is big - I really struggle to sleep after midweek games, so not sure it really is in terms of getting a good rest. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

The earlier train hasn't had a bar on it for some time. Annoying.

derby is a Friday night, thanks to Sky, and Cambridge will surely be reschedules as a mid week game.

Get the 9:44pm. I start making my way down ensuring I’m in eye shot of everything and then run to the station. That extra 30 - 40 minute wait is a bit of a rinser if you’re working the next day as it’s a slow train or at least feels like it, especially if we lose!

That's what I'm doing, but the last Liz line train is 11.09pm. I can only make that if I get the 9.44 from Ipswich.
