Someone must be worried! The Emperor has no Clothes.

“ "The Bank of England will need to hike rates higher to rein in price pressures, and we believe the move raises serious questions about the UK's fiscal credibility," BlackRock said in it's weekly market commentary on Monday”

Beyond embarrassing. Has there been any statement from no10 since the rout. They seem to have gone into hiding. Surely they can’t all fit in a fridge?

Greece and Italy - it's that bad...and let's borrow a bit more to bail out the energy companies (at least half of which are historically Conservative Party donors).

They aren’t hiding. They’re having a massive piss-up laughing at the idiots who elected them.

They don’t care and there’s a slim chance that they’ll be re-elected. The lie is now that they’ve only been in power since LT was put in charge and trying to forget about the previous twelve years. They might just get away with that one.

Nah, not after Starmers speech today, which is going down really well in most places (apart from Scotland & homes of Corbyn-lovers) from what I've seen.

That was fighting talk from Starmer, needs to keep going with more of the same, & to keep pushing that proposal of a publicly owned green/renewables energy scheme, till the next GE, which really can't come soon enough.

Quite something when the drama in UK politics is more dramatic than the fiction being shown on its mainstream TV channels.

This IMF?

If they're getting involved, the Tories really are evil. However, we'll have to put up with multiple sub plots and a never ending stream of sequels.

I’m never voting for the IMF again.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

I honestly thought the longer Boris remained in power the more likely the next government would be Tory light lead by Kier Starmer.

Ms Truss(t) is doing her best to prove me wrong.
