Why two keepers on the bench? 11:17 - Nov 8 with 1555 views | cbower | Surely one of the Yoofs would have benefitted fro the experience? Under what circumstances was Walton getting on the pitch? For a last minuted corner?

That makes sense. And 9 on the bench was always going to cause an issue with certain players only making up the numbers. Perfect for the new guy to fill a space and get him involved in the match day experience.

Albie Armin was there as 21st man which seems a bit pointless for him not to be on bench ahead of Walton

Totally agree. Walton is clearly by far the best keeper at the club, and one of the best in league one without any question. He's great. However, Coleman should have been trusted to come on as a sub against Bracknell if required. Funnily enough he's the only keeper at the club with a Premier League appearance to his name. To see Walton on the bench with him to hold his hand can't do his confidence a great deal of good.

I don't think it's that deep tbh. The lad had only signed a few days earlier and has been without a club since the summer, it's good to get him involved and integrate him into the group, but given you're naming a 20 man squad for the fixture there's no harm in taking 3 keepers.

I don't disagree with that, just think either take an inexperienced 3rd choice - we had Woody Williamson do it for the Derby game who has just turned 16, and Lewis Ridd for the Port Vale game and let Walton have a proper rest.....or name Armin as the 9th sub and let Walton be 21st man
