Is it just me? I don't actually like to know the numbers and which team they correspond with, I'd rather not know. When the BBC then lists them on the screen while the draw is taking place takes the surprise away. Probably me being plain daft!? [Post edited 8 Jan 2023 15:12]

I recall for the draw itself the beeb used to highlight only certain numbers. The "top" clubs (the usual suspects naturally) and certainly the lower/lowest ranked teams left in the competition. |  |

They did reintroduce the Monday lunchtime cup draw for a couple of seasons about 20 years ago. It probably didin't atrract the TV audience figures that are required. | | | |
