Best football nicknames 14:11 - Jan 13 with 1543 views

No idea why this sprang up in my mind, maybe because I watched Mike Bassett England Manager recently, but who has or had the best nicknames in football?

The two that spring to mind for me are 'Colin' for Neil Warnock, a work of genius that one, and One-Size for Fitz Hall.

Any other good ones out there?

I think this deserves adding to this thread

Likewise, a reporter was once left disappointed after asking Ameobi what his Newcastle team-mates called him, only to be told: “Shola.”

The journalist then asked the striker what his manager called him.

“He calls me Carl Cort.”
