Anyone else think Cooper got a slight hand to the Harness shot which hit the bar?
I had a perfect angle for the shot sitting in section 3 of SBR Upper and it looked to me that he got a fingertip to the ball, which may have turned the shot onto the crossbar.
Incidentally Cooper looked very good today. In the EADT today, Andy Warren compared him with Walton and concluded the two were equally good, but I don't think you could say that on today's performance. Cooper made some very good saves, and was composed throughout, and not just with his kicking and distribution. Indeed on one occasion he headed the ball when out of the box.
I don't know what has happened to Walton but one thing that seems to have been missing with him for some time is composure, and today was perhaps the worst example, although he did make at least one key save. Maybe it is a confidence thing, but he looks a pale comparison of the player he was last season, and even for the first few games of this season. |  | | |  |

I've looked at it on the Sky Sports highlights, and I still think there is a case for saying Cooper got his hand to it because the ball seemed to slightly change its flight, but I can't slow down the highlights and can't be sure.
I'll have a further look when the I-follow highlights become available because they can be slowed down. | | | |

I don't think Walton lacks confidence or composure, if anything he's too confident. He always leave it until the attacker is pretty much on him before kicking it. I know he wants to draw them in but he needs to get rid a fraction of a second quicker. |  |

Having now looked at both the Griffen video and the I-follow coverage slowed down, I don't think Cooper did get a hand to it. But I think the ball did slightly swerve in the air, and I think it was this, sitting where I did, that made me think he had got his hand to it. [Post edited 15 Jan 2023 10:08]
