Foul on Wolfie before the winner 07:54 - Feb 8 with 1314 viewsCheltenham_Blue

For me. If he doesn’t have his arm across his shoulder, wolfie heads that away.
But, who cares, we start our promotion run on Saturday. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Given that the ref booked Hirst for something very similar ( backing in with arms high) earlier in the half, I'm amazed, looking back that that has stood. ( Although in the Ref's defence, when I first watched the highlights, I did think that Wolfie has gone down very easily).

Janoi could have done better after that though, as he could with the first goal.

ON the 2nd goal, Donacien could have been a bit closer, but really, he's expecting to have to cover a touch there, either from Barnes or Wolfie.

For the first, the problem is we've got out of shape on the press, and Wolfie gives the ball away cheaply. At the point that Burnley get the ball, Aluko is left of Hirst, Jackson is right of him, and they are a flat front 3. Harness is out of picture, so I'm assuming he's in front of Leigh, which begs the question, why is Aluko all the way across there. He played the rest of the match solidly as the right of the front 3, with harness on the left side. This leaves JD massively overloaded. In hindsight he might have been better to stand off, but really, he's been completely isolated there.

It's a foul but one that you never get. Striker knows what he's doing and clever from him really. Maybe a lesson for Woolf (not having a go). One of those where he has to be even more physical.

I think the point being that the ref booked Hirst earlier for pretty much the same thing, so to say that they are never given is a bit harsh.

It's as clear a foul as you're likely to see. That said, I can't be too sad as the goal spared us extra time and we didn't have enough left in the tank to push for the win.

Yes, definite foul. That twist of the shoulder and arm movement by the striker has nothing to do with challenging for the ball, and everything to do with cleverly holding Woolfie down.

Having said that I'm not in the least disappointed we went out, for all the obvious reasons.

Yeah looks like JD can do better there, a bit easy for Tella to get a shot off.

Very good chance for Jackson as well going by that, shame it was a bit of a tame effort off his weak foot.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.
