The first handful of times was amusing, but the woman who sits directly behind me continually shouts out “Broadband!” every time he’s on the ball. I’m unsure as to whether she thinks it’s funny or genuinely thinks that’s his name. I suspect the latter.

Well us seasoned old timers have always had nicknames or mispronunciations. So have to admit we came up with Broadside, Broadsheet, Broadband, Broadbent, Broadroad, Broadbottom and a few others. We settled finally on Norfolk Broads....but hey ho - when you've spent fifiteen years watching dross (this season excepted) you tend to find your own entertainment.
