Guthrum's Interim Estimated Final Table on 23:23 - Mar 21 with 1580 views | Kievthegreat | Obviously your maths is wrong, but would be absolutely crazy to have the top 4 all hovering around 100 points with only 5 between them all, then a massive 20 point gap before having the next 5 teams separated by a single point.

It's not so much my maths is wrong, but that it's quite a blunt statistical model for the level of detail output. Relies entirely upon form and trends, with no account taken of actual opposition left to face, in terms of quality or interaction of results.

I mean you have town finishing outside the top 2. Clearly your numbers are wrong. Ps. I wasn't casting ACTUAL aspersions about your numbers, I just don't like the current result they are outputting. [Post edited 21 Mar 2023 23:33]

Because of the way it's put together, I have considerable paranoia about actually getting the maths wrong (largely by not sorting the teams properly and thereby ending up with bizarre totals when everything is added together).

I actually now think you'll need 95points for second place this season.. history on 23:37 - Mar 21 with 1445 views | unstableblue | ... 20 points from 9 games, 2.2PPG, 27 points on offer.. we can afford to lose two.. But they'll be draws Would be an incredible achievement.. we beat Derby.. I'd believe But 95 seems crazy high... last season 21/22 1. Wigan 92 2. Rotherham 90 3. MK Dons 89 20/21 1. Hull 89 2. Peterborough 87 3. Blackpool 80

Would just highlight how invidious the playoffs are if it did finish like that. Have never liked them despite our success in 2000. Top three should go up automatically.

Guthrum's Interim Estimated Final Table on 09:48 - Mar 22 with 765 views | Pinewoodblue | Looks like it is going to the wire. Your calculations leave 4 teams going into the last game with a mathematical chance of promotion and another 5 teams with a chance of making the last 2 play off places. To make it more spicy both Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley are at home to a team fighting for a play off place and Portsmouth are at home to Wycombe. Squeaky bum time all round.
