ST share "scheme" 15:44 - Apr 11 with 1368 views | Dyland | Did I dream that someone (Crunchers?) was coordinating something for ST holders who couldn't make a game and didn't know someone to go in their place? Not a bad idea, if/when there are sell outs.... or is it... Genuine question. Seems smart on the surface, if run officially (not by Crunchers or whoever), but what are the downsides?

ST share "scheme" on 15:50 - Apr 11 with 1305 views | SheffordBlue | There was a thread last week about something similiar. If you can't go and let the Ticket Office know the Foundation will ensure someone can use it who might not otherwise go. Do ST holders realise that… by nick141 9 Apr 2023 19:00… if you can’t go to a game then you Can tell the club and they ‘donate’ the tickets to the Foundation and someone that wouldn’t normally be able to go?
I only mention this as I found out by chance when asking the club to re sell my ticket. Turns out you can’t re sell them.
I live in London so quite happy with this arrangement - gives you a warm fuzzy feeling rather than guilt at not being able to go!

ST share "scheme" on 16:10 - Apr 11 with 1224 views | Mullet | To an official one, literally nothing. I think it's another US style feature of ticketing we could incorporate. As someone who has spent many away days selling unwanted tickets at a loss (or having people not turn up so someone else misses out) it's a massive pain in the arse trying to organise it. The club doing it properly and professionally also means it's neutral etc.

ST share "scheme" on 16:31 - Apr 11 with 1137 views | Metal_Hacker | I'd totally appreciate such a scheme living in Sheffield and only getting to a handful of games when I can - the more opportunities the better I say. Also the ST holder doesn't lose out and would get the price of the ticket - win / win isn't it ? EDIT - Would also be willing to pay an admin fee to cover costs [Post edited 11 Apr 2023 16:35]

ST share "scheme" on 16:48 - Apr 11 with 1036 views | LankHenners | Brentford are introducing an official scheme next season to make sure the ground is full (or close to) every game by having an official swap portal where ST holders register their seat as 'free' and someone can buy it. If a seat isn't used (or listed on the portal) a certain number of times the holder gets it revoked and it becomes available to someone on the waiting list for the following season. Maybe we don't need to go that far (until we have a sizeable waiting list perhaps) but would certainly be a good idea for the club to do something similar so seats aren't going to waste and gives people more of a chance to get a ticket.

Unless you mean if there's waiting lists and sellouts every game I guess. But plenty of people share their ST around a group of fam n friends innit.

Guy next to me has a season ticket with his son and probably only attend 5 or 6 games a season. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
ST share "scheme" on 17:34 - Apr 11 with 895 views | N2_Blue | Its ever so easy to donate your ticket, pass it to a friend, ask for a donation, or give to a random TWTD'er...I'm not sure an actual scehme is needed. If you can't be bothered you can apparently tell the club any game you can't make and they'll donate the seat to the Town Foundation. I think the club are fantastic at how easy they make it to do this. Just replace the ST card with a digital ticket for the game in question so no worrying about sending your card to anyone. I'll probably only make about half of games next year so will be making my ST available for some games....alternatively if anyone is interested in sharing ticket for a set number of games and covering some of the cost happy to do this, just PM me. Bedsheet is better - people should never forget his treatment of an ITFC legend.

Course, but I think people doing it to rehabilitate their reputation or drive up an audience leads to all sorts of potential headaches. If you lend it to friends and family there's an easy sense of you getting it back, them behaving etc, not having a banning order. I guess the club don't want to be adjudicating squabbles and problems that inevitably follow certain people in the fanbase around. Twitter is awash with it again I notice.
