Assuming the club knew this was likely to happen the Aluko deal makes a lot more sense. He's an excellent option to have on the bench to bring on in tight games where we're leading and can use his ability to hold onto the ball better than many of our forward options. | |

With no Reserve League the only other option is for one or two of them to play for the U21s. At least if you're in the matchday squad you might get some match minutes. This will increase the likelihood of players like Leigh and Aluko who were often absent from the matchday squad getting on and getting some minutes. | |
