Her advisors said don't do it but the photographers said all the other candidates had posed with arms in the air.
Maybe they did but only she was shown in that pose in the newspapers.

Nickie Aiken's complaint letter is much more interesting than the photo. She plays the sexism card, when in reality elements of the press are happy to make anyone look a bit stupid to sell copy, and also nicely includes a thinly veiled threat to withdraw the newspapers' access to special events for not playing their game. |  | | |
