He’s scored 4 times for Morroco in what is a good team. Might be good business. They have a nice start home to Rotherham. Not as easy game as perhaps I was thinking In Left Fee R. Stoke summer transfers on 21:02 - Jul 30 with 2271 views | tractordownsouth | I'd still make us the favourites for that game because as good as a lot of those signings are on paper, they've mostly been made in the last few days. Their team will probably be less than the sum of its parts.

Think the game is a classic 'good time to play them' fixture for us. They've assembled a good looking team and imo will go on to have a very good season but will take a little bit of time for them to get up to speed.

I don't think there are going to any easy games in this division. But I thought Stoke would be easier than Sunderland and Leeds, but harder that QPR, when looking at our August fixtures. They also had a poor end to the season... losing loads of games even to Wigan and QPR So yeah I thought it would be an easier game.. but not so sure now

They are 9th and 10th in the markets so will be great early markers for us.
Stoke summer transfers on 22:36 - Jul 30 with 1663 views | jayessess | Took £15m for Harry Souttar in January, so had some decent money to re-invest. Johnson, Rose, Stevens, Pearson look like fair bog standard Championship recruitment to me. Wesley is off the back of a fairly indifferent season in the Spanish 2nd Division, Chiquinho seems to shown a bit of promise in the Portuguese Primeira Liga, but 3 seasons ago. Mmaee and Vidigal both look like the kind of overseas signing where you might strike gold, but you also might have totally misread their suitability for the Championship. Hull had a few of these in last season's spending spree. Ki-jana Hoever and Mark Travers are both excellent for this level.

Yeah agree. Leeds and Sunderland are going to be hard. QPR and as you say Stoke gives us real markers, given our continuity and good pre-season if we’re going to trouble top 6 then they’re wins. But the start of a season is always a lottery. Stoke will be a useful test. Leeds like Stoke may be in state of transition. Sunderland look a good side, but an interesting pre-season a tour of the US but playing Phoenix Rising level and below teams… not MSL Then a 1-1 draw at home with Real Mallorca, a good test as they were 9th in La Liga I think Sunday could see some very nice football indeed

Agree on Mmaee, a bit of a gamble, that often fail. Did he play in that strong World Cup team for Morocco?

Wasn't in the squad for the tournament. His 4 international goals came in 2 qualifying matches against Sudan and Guinea. [Post edited 30 Jul 2023 23:34]
