What’s happened to him? At points I was wondering if he was consistently good enough for top of League On; now he looks good enough for top of Championship.

Kieran McKenna - player whisperer.

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?

At the time, I was of the view that we'd be better offloading Harness and keeping Edwards.

Just thought that Edwards was a better option off the bench etc. I thought Harness wasn't able to get back to his early form with us.

However, it looks like a combination of things means he is. One - he's fit and over his injury and his confidence has improved immeasurably.

Brilliant stuff!

Ade Akinbiyi couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo...
Poll: As things stand, how confident are you we will get promoted this season?

Was heartwarming to hear the 'we've got Marcus Harness' song again after he's been an easy target for scapegoat hunters ever since that injury last season.

I felt he was actually coming back into some form towards the end of last season, so I bet hearing his name sung will have boosted his confidence.

Harness' pressing is very good, where i feel he's let himself down certainly post injury was his use of the ball. He looked bang at it last night and it was good to see as i like him as a player. He's a bit too hot and cold for a top end championship player though. If he can get consistency into his performances and into his use of the ball he will be a good player.

His first touch looked a lot better last night.. And he seems to be keeping it simple and doing the "drills". Great to see him on the score sheet again. That won't hurt his confidence at all. At times last season, when things weren't going his way . You could tell that a lot of that was a drop in confidence.
It's pleasing to see, that players like Harness and Fridge and Hladky, relative fringe players for a large part of last season, are more than capable at this level. Which , for me , personally, means our squad depth is better than I thought at the start of the season.
Off topic, but, starting to think that we're seeing the value of our new playing surface, too. It's like a putting green, and definitely helps our slick passing game.

I don't think it's fair to say he's been a target for scapegoat hunters, his performances after Christmas last year were miles off and thus the criticism was based on performance not scapegoating.

Criticism is allowed. This narrative that evidence based criticism is scapegoating or not supporting the team is bizarre.

Thus far this season he's looked back to his best and he was excellent last night. It's great to see.

Yes I like him was pleased when he arrived here,
Started brilliantly last season then the bad injury,
Didn't look the same player for long periods,
Got better near the end of the season looked good in pre season,
Now back to the reason we wanted him here in the first place,
He will do a job for us,
