Controversial but, if no Burns, I'd start Jackson over Hutchinson by pointofblue 11 Nov 2023 13:23Hutchinson brings more to us as an impact player than Jackson. He almost changed the game in our favour at Rotherham - would have done if we could have cleared the ball properly at the death - and did the same against Blackburn when Dolan was having a real affect on the game for Rovers. Whereas he had less of a role at Birmingham and everything felt forced to him against Plymouth, to his and our detriment.
If Burns is not available then whoever is picked on the right today will be moved away from their 'preferred' role. With that being the case, I'd prefer it to be Jackson.

I would say there is an argument that Hutchinson has been more effective off the bench than when starting. I also think Jackson comes into more stick than he deserves. However, I have no issue with Hutchinson starting. There is very little to choose between them. Jackson has probably been more effective coming off the bench too. |  |
