2-0, they look pretty poor really while Southampton look like they're finally getting up to speed with things.

I’ll say this for Birmingham. Those red socks look nice.

Surprised it took them as long as it did to score.

Leeds also winning.

They're wearing red socks? Don't Southampton wear red socks? I'm confused. Are they trying to look like Pompey?

Although another one for the 'goalkeepers allowed to get away with murder' file there.

Saints have white socks. Actually brum might be in orange socks. I’ve just woken up.

Those are the ones that annoy me. A player does that anywhere else on the field, the ref will blow. Goalie does it and it’s just a shrug. Blatantly wiped him out.

I said before he’s another fraud trading off his name. And not a very likeable one at that (grannies, ‘loyal supporters’ rant etc).

Exactly the sort of thing our owners might have done (gone for a name) were it not for Ashton. Complete contrast and really happy with the way GC have run the club.

I’m desperately torn on this game. Wayne Rooney’s B’ham versus Russell ‘the fraud tactician’ Martin. Can they both lose please?

It's beginning to look a lot like the time they were flying high and bought Zola in... whoops

Looks like Brum owners did exactly what Evans did here, John Eustace had them in the top Six having just beaten West Brom, Magic had us in around Eighth if I remember having just beaten Norwich 3-1. Both were sacked and replaced by high profile names and arguably questionable credentials. Hopefully goes the same way for Brum as it did for us.

I feel a bit dirty saying this, but in fairness to Rooney - out of the three amigos (Lampard, Gerrard and Rooney) He is trying to walk before he runs, and given the situation Derby were in, I think he did as well as anyone could have done. Lampard just dived into jobs he wasn't ready for, Gerrard came undone once he left the 2 horse race of the SPL and then hedged his bets in the Saudi league. So, I do have to give Rooney a shred of credit for at least being a little more realistic than the others.

Don’t really rate him to be honest, Win percentage of less than 26%,
Managerial stats are 140 games,39 wins, 34 draws and 67 defeats including Three straight defeats at Brum.

Reading the opening post without taking in the date. Wondered why Southampton were playing Birmingham tonight.

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?
