This is fundamentally what some people don't get. It's why I don't at all mind him leaving next season, in fact I kind of assume it.

But we are in the EPL way ahead of schedule with a mostly unchanged strong League 1 side.

By far our biggest chance of survival this season is to have the players managed and coached by the people who got them playing way above their previous standard.

McKenna and his agent courting at least 3 other EPL teams before we've even kicked a ball feels like a slap in the face. You have to have your blinkers on not to see that he wants to move on because we'll be damaging to his career if he can't help keep us up.

Maybe it's 'bedwetting' but from a fans perspective Football is about passion and emotion. We're not sports journalists ffs.

Poll: Should there be stickied threads for hot topics (e.g. matchday/McKenna rumours)?

Relegation won't damage his career. Vincent Kompany is proof of that.

Underachieving with Brighton would be more damaging.

"he wants to move on because we'll be damaging to his career if he can't help keep us up."

No evidence for this whatsoever. All in your head.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

This situation is pretty much as clear cut good against evil as you can get in footballing terms, I’d think the whole of genuine British football fans are b hind us as it represents a microcosm of all that is wrong with football. What hope do any of the other fans have if they see the fairytale of last year being dismantled before the season is even over.
