Foo Fighters at the Olympic Stadium tomorrow night. 18:52 - Jun 21 with 2462 viewsITFC_Forever

Shamelessly jumped on the big show (game) bandwagon for that one…. I like them and know probably a dozen or so of their hits, but got to say my album knowledge etc is next to nothing.
Given that they’re on for three hours, there’s going to be a fair few songs I won’t know!

Doesn’t count as a ground tick unfortunately.

I was there last night.

I'm very similar to you... and I loved it.

Enjoy !

Seen them three times but not since 2001, so my album advice is a bit limited but definitely start with 'The Colour and the Shape'.

Who are the support acts (s) ?

You should look at the setlist web site to see their recent setlists

https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/foo-fighters/2024/emirates-old-trafford-mancheste

They always seem to play their 10 biggest songs plus half the latest album and then a few surprise covers.
I've only seen them live twice, early on. First at the chaotic gig in the tent at Reading for the debut album and then Reading again at around the time of One By One/All My Life.
I feel I've seen them a lot more because it feels like they've had 10 televised complete gigs on the BBC in the last decade. I'm pretty sure it will be brilliant all the way through as long as Dave doesn't fall off stage (again)

Saw them on at the MK Bowl 2011, great live, you'll have a top night.

Think Wet Leg are support, they're cool too.

Foos update, they were excellent, a great show.

Train there and back was an eclectic mix of Foos, Swifties and Girls Aloud fans all heading to their respective shows.

Seen them I think so times, they’re brilliant.

There are a few bands that have stopped doing ‘gigs’ and started doing ‘shows’, Foo Fighters are one. Dave Grohl is a decent singer but a fantastic showman.

Green Day are another band that do a decent show (currently live from the Isle of Wight Festival on Sky Arts right now)

You forgot those of us going to the Royal Festival Hall to see Morcheeba.

We got on the Jubilee line at Waterloo afterwards, a few Swifties at that point, the Girls Aloud lot got on at North Greenwich and as we waited for a connection at Stratford there were loads of Foo Fighters fans.

Even spotted a few South African rugby fans who I now know were making their way back from Twickenham where they'd played Wales.

Great to see so many different people making their way back from what was hopefully for them a great show, whoever they'd seen.

Pretty good. Skye can still sing and is an engaging front person. Ross Godfrey, the guitarist, plus the other three musicians were good too and the lighting was excellent.
