Leicester row with Premier League could run into next year… 18:39 - Aug 13 with 2472 viewsSitfcB

What a load of sh!te.

‘Leicester are expected to arque that the losses from the 2022-23 season were
a result of mitigating circumstances, such as an unforeseen relegation, the
"unplanned expenditure" of sacking £8 million-a-year manager Brendan
Rodgers, plus an estimated £30 million deficit from finishing 18th in the table’

Perhaps they should’ve thought about that at the time…!

The failure of the authorities to deal with Leicester and Man City’s blatant cheating in a timely manner is a stain on the game. Taints everything.

'unforeseen relegation'?

Did they:

a) not know that the bottom three went down?
or
b) believe that they were invincible?

Either way, they should get extra punishment for trotting out such toddler-esque Trumpian excuses.

It's getting to the point where they may as well scrap the rules and turn it into a free for all (which practically it is anyway).

The more rules set, the more creative the ways round them are... see Chelsea as example 1.

Football at the top has become a farce sadly 😥

But the words of the Premier League chief suggest their role is to enforce the rules, and I do think there is an inevitability to Leicester getting docked a serious amount, maybe in Jan/Feb

And they sacked Rodgers, if you can't afford the pay off then don't sack the manager. Bit like appealing a red card that isn't over turned gets and extra match this should get extra points deduction.

all this while they still spend what they like to get Saha on a loan (£9M apparently). Kante (£7M loan). Its all cheating as they cheated 23 clubs in the Champ last season. When are the authorities going to clamp down or simply remove PSR and let our ownership spend what they like!

Hardly a surprise, given Man City's kicking of the can down the road for how long now?

The governing bodies within the game is run by a bunch of old farts who have zero control of these big clubs ,who frankly take the piss.

It's taken too long. And I agree it's a farce.

But would you really prefer them to scrap the rules rather than punish Leicester later than ideal? Cos I wouldn't.

There’s punishment snd there’s punishment isn’t there. It’ll be watered down due to boredom of it dragging on. These clubs know exactly what what they’re doing
