Blue tinted glasses or stonewall penalty?? 17:54 - Aug 24 with 1487 viewsBellevue_Blue

I'll be genuinely interested to hear what the experts say about our slamdunk penalty shout not given and theirs which was given.

From the replay, the contact on Saviniho looked pretty innocuous at best but if that's the threshold to overturn then the tackle on Davies is a nailed-on VAR review!

Not only is he being pulled back but he's also hip checked? IMO it is as much of a penalty as you will ever see.

Absolutely nailed on, can't believe it wasn't reviewed.

I thought the City penalty was a foul in real time, but that that the multiple replays looked like no contact.

their penalty was checked much more because there was a stop in play. City defenders did a job on Leif but the ball didn't go out. Ref was wrong, that was a pen.

If even the risk-adverse BBC think ours was a pen it must have been blatant. I’m actually a fan of the concept of VAR, but what’s the point if they can’t get obvious calls right?

Does it really matter?

If there's a day to not get a penalty decision then I suggest that today was the day.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

It's true that if it's to happen it's best today but if we get that penalty and convert it there's a possibility
it could well be a different game. I'm sure it wouldn't have changed the outcome of the game but it could've given us a bit of confidence and a second wind.

Also if we end up relegated on goal difference by a single goal would you still say the same at the end of the season?

I'd like to hear too, but I suspect it'll be swept under the rug and well never see the replay again.
