Not sure how good or bad the u21 league is 19:40 - Oct 8 with 1853 views | FrimleyBlue | But gray is definitely one of those modern day baller keepers and great shot stopper Mendel looks exciting very much a hutchinson type player. That west ham winger is quick! Onuchukwu? Looks very talented Davis should have had a hattrick [Post edited 8 Oct 2024 19:53]

Not sure how good or bad the u21 league is on 19:56 - Oct 8 with 1765 views | The_Flashing_Smile | I'm watching too. They all look technically very good but there's a player called Jambang (or something similar) who is very clever. Very tricksy feet! Physically they don't look anywhere near our first team, sadly. Our first team struggled to compete with West Ham physically (and most of the teams we've faced frankly - Fulham another one that sticks in the mind) so these kids wouldn't stand a chance. But if they can beef up they certainly have the skills. Very tidy. I know U16 is a big difference to U21 but having watched Palace v Villa U16 recently (in the flesh) this is an extraordinary leap up skill-wise. Shows how hard it is to make it as a professional footballer because every one of these lads looks so comfortable on the ball.

speaking of which Teddie Bloomfield is on Villa's bench tonight against Bolton in the Bristol street motors cup thing. Think he's quite highly thought of at Villa, could be one we regret not having around in a few years time.

HI Flash, apologies forgot to respond to you last night Agreed about the physical aspect of the game, lots of technical ability on show, some flair and some excellent passing, but they did imo look a long way off troubling the 1st team for a bench place.

I’m sure the quality of the opposition, especially physically, has a lot to do with it. You see youngsters making the step up when they have Cat1. If we were playing against more stronger teams we would perhaps match them more. You can see the difference between those who have come through our academy and Cat 1 academy.
