Disappointing 19:35 - Oct 19 with 1302 views | victorysquad | Especially to hear Greaves is now injured too However, part of me wonders whether returning to our promotion side might actually help us. They know the system, the patterns of play, that may just be more effective than what we have done so far. The other point i would raise is the mentality of the team right now, we seem to be lacking fight and desire to win, is this a lack of belief?

Disappointing on 19:43 - Oct 19 with 1232 views | TractorWood | I'm feeling cynical but indulge me. When I saw Woolfenden, Burgess and Burns starting I was pretty worried. They are just irrefutably not good enough. However, midfield was where the game was lost today imho. Doucoure and Ashley Young were really excellent and assured today. Doucoure had ridiculous freedom and space. He's also physical and assured on the ball. Morsy and Philips by contrast seemed rushed and taking 2 touches and 5 seconds too long. Omari did well. He's class and to me, perhaps with Delap, are the only players who have real long term futures at this level. If Calvert Lewin could finish it would have been 5. But then again, if he could finish, he would play for someone better. Watching Pickford was incredible. His intensity and focus are bonkers.

Disappointing on 19:44 - Oct 19 with 1223 views | pointofblue | Regarding the mentality of the team - it happened from about the 35th minute of the West Ham game. Before then, we seemed to have fight, belief, desire. Did the collapse at the London Stadium, and then not having a game for two weeks, play on our minds?

Our 'old' team were playing for their lives, for the glory. We've brought in players that don't have that fight. Our 'old guard' fought until the last minute because they were gunning for the last chance of their career to make it to the prem. Whereas the new recruits....well... O'Shea, Ogbene, Muric will be picked up again next summer by some other mugs. Greaves and Clarke (in a different system) have bigger things in their future I'm sure, this is a step and they don't play for the badge. Phillips completely lost after city, not sure what lights his fire anymore after the heights he's had. The old guard had something to play for, and they did it for each other. That's where the mentality has gone.
Disappointing on 20:06 - Oct 19 with 1086 views | DublinBlue84 | That's why it was a gamble changing goalkeeper IMO and I've seen nothing to suggest that Muric's upsides are enough to justify breaking up a defence and keeper partnership that we had in a team that was already going to have an uphill struggle. Also I'm surprised the amount of people who appear to be given Burgess a free pass, heading the ball out for their corner when there was no need and then being as slow as a tortoise to close down or deal with the threat from the resulting corner was criminal.

Disappointing on 20:10 - Oct 19 with 1059 views | ITFCSG | I'd go for the radical approach and drop Muric for Walton. Clarke for O'Shea. Burnley must be laughing all the way to the bank selling us 2 duds for £20 mil + if they were so good Burnley would probably have survived. Lots of the team especially the new players seem to be just going through the motions atm
Disappointing on 20:40 - Oct 19 with 970 views | Swansea_Blue | It’s a difficult one. We relied on the team spirit last year to get us out of sticky spots, as there were some far better individuals in the Championship. It really would have been a step too far I think expecting them to step up another level so quickly, so we had to strengthen. But you do so knowing you’ll lose some team spirit/understanding. KM’s between a rock and a hard place. He was too successful, and too soon, for his own good. Let’s hope he can build something quickly.

The problem was we 'replaced' most of our lineup with future high value players rather than some very experienced prem level players.
