Surely Muric deserves an assist for the second goal. on 07:37 - Nov 11 with 1838 views | Dubtractor | High risk, high reward! On that note, people really need to stop publicly soiling themselves every time he misplaces a pass. Hladky also misplaced plenty over last season, and I'm sure Walton would too. It's how McKenna wants us to play out, and we will make some mistakes doing so.

…until it fails again and costs us valuable points. He’s made far too many mistakes doing that already - passes when passes really aren’t on; KM clearly doesn’t want that. I thought he started the game really badly yesterday and you could see a lack of confidence. We could have been one down inside 5-minutes as he failed to get off his line to intercept that Johnson effort. He here into the game with some excellent catches and good saves but he got away with lots of mistakes. Needs to do better at this level. Still don’t see anything in him which warrants the price tags over Walton.

Claimed cross after cross with confidence....that really was a terrible pass out but who cares, we scored!! Think it was Johnson that controlled the falling ball on the line too which was superb.

Ha yes - I went mental when he did that as looked a certain goal…. But then went mental for the right reasons 30 seconds later

Muric is what he is. - Absolutely unreal shot stopper. - Absolutely superb at claiming stuff in the air. - Pretty good with his feet. - Really poor decision maker with the ball at his feet. I'd imagine if he was great in all four then he'd be a £60m keeper so we've taken someone for a fraction of that who has plenty of attributes and it'll take a little while to iron out the decision making. He's already massively improved from the start of the season where we'd have 3-4 of those loose balls in a game. He got one wrong yesterday, it didn't cost us and he saved us on plenty of other occasions. Was lovely to see Morsy shove him over to the fans for his own bit of recognition. He's been great last few weeks which is what I am far more interested in judging him on than early in the season in a new team, a new system, with ever changing centre back partnerships.

That ball in for Johnson was sublime, I’m not sure any keeper in the world could have dealt with it. And he really didn’t make lots of mistakes.

Unfortunately that doesn't fit the narrative of the "Muric is crap" brigade that lurk in the shadows here waiting for him to make a mistake, then can't post their bobbins here quick enough. Odd way to get behind a new player, but each to their own I suppose.

Exactly this. That ball from Son was impossible to defend against, and dipped down into an area Muric couldn't have claimed it. And I agree he made a couple of poor passes in quick succession in the first half, but otherwise he was pretty much faultless.

Pretty good summary of Muric there. The encouraging thing is that improved decision making is what comes with more practice and confidence. He'll be one hell of a goalie once the dodgy decisions are removed from his game.

He should command his 6-yard box better at times. O’Shea had to call him out to claim a ball on one occasion - he shouldn’t need to do that. As per Brentford, he needs to take control more than he does as per the Johnson effort. Great ball in but come through the lot of them and make it yours. That, 2 bad passes and 2 bad throws could have had us in a lot of trouble. Plenty of work to be done.

Agree that was classy by Morsy. First time I've actually seen Muric smile and acknowledge the fans back. Always seems miserable, perhaps he thinks he's let us down a bit due to the occasional dodgy decision making, but hopefully after that ovation for him, he now realises the vast majority are actually fully behind him and want him to do well.

He didn’t even want that pass yesterday, he wanted it to go to Burgess, which was on, but O’Shea played it back to Muric!

Surely Muric deserves an assist for the second goal. on 10:37 - Nov 11 with 966 views | baxterbasics | I've said this a couple of times already - but would Hladky or Walts made some of the saves he has? Unlikely, and we may well have found ourselves with fewer points today without Muric. Also I see a clear bias among a few fans here towards last years squad Vs the new signings - so the likes of Phillips, Johnson and Muric have been given a harder time whilst our more established players get the blue-tint treatment.
