I've started listening to some episodes of Talking Town this season, it's well made.
But I can't understand for the life of me the opening line:
"Hello my friends and you are my friends".
It grates every time as it makes no sense grammatically, but maybe it has same creation story that will help me get less annoyed? What's it about? |  | | |  |

I have to confess I enjoy the 'Meet the Opposition" videos when they talk to an opposition podcaster. Blue Monday still my primary go to though. |  | | |

I've never listened but, based on what you've described, it feels as if it could be a bit of a sly dig at Kings of Anglia? I tend to listen to them on the drive down to PR, and the frequency with which KoA refer to listeners as 'friends' is pretty weird. |  |

Oh, why is that? I only found it because I listen to a lot of podcasts so thought I'd try some Ipswich ones. The only one I really listen to is the match preview as they have some interesting facts and observations, less so the waffle talking over and over not that interesting thoughts on the game | | | |

I'm not sure people particularly think it's beneath them, it's more that they have had a very 'tabloid' or click bait style approach in the past.
No idea whether that's still the case, it put me off in the League One days and I've never been back. |  |
