Is there a more ridiculous rule? 09:53 - Dec 15 with 1042 viewsLA_Tractor_Boy

Jack Taylor booked for excessive celebration.

Yes, he shouldn't have done it as he knows the outcome. But it's still a ridiculous rule.

If a player can't celebrate how he wants (within reason) having scored a last minute winner and his first PL goal, then the FA really have succeeded in sanitising football beyond belief.

For Taylor it was worth getting a yellow.

Money talks! Sponsors desperate to make sure their names are still on show in such celebrations = yellow card as soon as the shirt comes off

I wonder who was the first ever player that having scored a goal had the thought enter his head that the best way to celebrate was to whisk their shirt off? It is a bit of a bizarre thing to do if you think about it, isn’t it?

I don't entirely understand why players want to rip their shirt off after scoring, anyway. Especially as they're nowadays usually wearing the funny sports bra thing and a long-sleeved vest underneath.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

If I ever score a last minute winner for Town I will remember to keep my shirt on

However if its at Carrow Road I reserve the right to drop my shorts and give the Barclays the old Keno Brown-eye!!
