I think that's where buying the best of the championship players falls down a bit as a solution to stepping up to the this level. There's a lot of technically good players in the league below but the size and physicality of most players in established Premier league teams is other worldly!
I think what we need to target in Jan is 2-3 beastly players. That's one reason I was hoping the link to Kévin Denkey at the end of the summer transfer window was true. He seems to be exactly the type of player we need to compete with this league of giants. [Post edited 21 Dec 2024 18:58]

I did look at our front 4 (and even the subs who came on) and Newcastle shrugged us off the ball all the time....just stronger (and better). A harsh reality of this league and our lack of physically upfront. | | | |
