Hopefully we act quickly in the January window on 19:36 - Dec 26 with 2084 views | gainsboroughblue | January is a terrible transfer window for teams down the bottom. Players from top clubs in the league below are more likely to bide their time and see if clubs switch divisions. Selling clubs hike up the prices in an already sellers market because they know you're desperate. You also go in for players with one eye on survival, the other on bouncing back.

And I think that'll be the way of it, possibly with a commitment to buy if we stay up. As it is we can take one from the Prem, and one from elsewhere. I don't think we are a million miles away, but getting real quality in will be key. One at RB and one in the forward positions. If a striker comes in, that might be on a permanent transfer, we're desperately short up top. Really don't want to see any more than 3 incoming though.

Hopefully we act quickly in the January window on 20:55 - Dec 26 with 1722 views | NeverSayDie | The last couple of Winter transfer windows, arguably, have been our best and ultimately secured us promotions in those seasons. Obviously, the season targets for us now are somewhat different, but it is critical that we have another successful January. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that we can stay up, if we recruit effectively in January. If there’s one thing the club has proved over the last couple of years, it’s that we won’t ever lie down and accept defeat and we are demonstrably capable of producing highly improbable outcomes. Being at the top of a league attracts players, being at the bottom doesn't Think our fans are in for a rude awakening if they think January business is going to save us

Yes, there's no Jimmy Robertson & Frank Clarke lurking out there.

Playing Premier League Football wether you are at the top or at the bottom attracts players ... as always, money talks.

Although probably not those already playing in the PL. Unless fringe players, the elderly, and the unproven. Which is the problem. Am sure KM has his gameplan lined up already will pull off more miracles.

Sadly I agree. The chances of staying up now are slim. It really is a different world we are now inhabiting and it looks like everyone underestimated the gap that needs to be bridged

No but we aren't able to really shop in that market, as is emphasised by the business we did in the summer. That's why I'll never get this infatuation with 'PL ready players' ... they're not going to trade in a stable Premier League contract for one with a hefty relegation wage cut. Will no doubt be a similar transfer policy of players who want to work hard, prove themselves and fit the culture.

You really think KMc and Ashton underestimated the jump and task ahead? Not a chance did that happen, we really have been cruelly affected by injuries at the crucial ends of the pitch. They as always, will have objectives and targets in place for January already. Both scenarios covered, relegation and more importantly survival. The past Two years where we’ve been the underdogs will stand us in good stead.
