It's an interesting link as Toulouse are very very data driven, to the point where Billy Beane (the founding father of 'Moneyball') was part of the initial ownership group. Not sure what the extent of his role is now.

Without wanting to sound like a Luddite, I think Al Hamadi shows the limitations of a data driven Moneyball approach. I'm sure he hits quite a few key metrics in their analysis models but...he isn't that good at football.
