Think the chances of him staying have increased on 22:28 - Aug 2 with 1072 viewsunstableblue

But it’s difficult for club with only a year left on his contract and wanting to gain value from him

£7.5m if true was a very good profit.

Think club may now have to offer a new deal if he is staying.

And I think the Philogene injury greatly increased the chances of him staying not just because he’s now the key back-up for the left side, but crucially the clubs risk appetite is gonna drop when you see the squad suddenly depleted.

First reaction to Jaden injury was that Clarke will switch back to left with Broadie his sub replacement, BUT if Omari off, and Ogbene still getting up to speed. Could be Broadhead starting on the left.

Albeit with the niggle and battle St Andrews is going to be Szmodics and Chaplin starting isn’t an impossibility

Poll: How do you rate the new home kit out of 5?

Yeah a fair point about the size of the offer and length of contract he has left.

I still feel that he has the potential to improve even more. I think it's similar to KM's comments about Hirsty in that NB was a bit of a late developer, in fact I have a feeling KM said exactly that about him too. He's got 5 years of peak performance in him still and we've always known the talent is there. He wasn't at Everton for nothing. He is such a clever player and so good to watch.

I hope Philogene is okay and the injury not too bad but if current circumstances mean we keep Broady that would be good.

Broady opened the scoring on KM's last season in the championship with us
... Repeat at St Andrew's on Friday?

I'm assuming we already have e offered him a new deal since reports seem to be we have no plan to sell him. Obviously the offer is good and if he hasn't signed that plan probably has to change.

Be interesting if Omari is going if that changes things. I can only think that he played today because of this given he wasnt in squad last game. Maybe he will be sold on more minutes if Omari is going.

His head is still in the right place.

Wonder if Philogenes injury and Hutchs imminent departure may mean we'll hang on to him. Think, though, he wants to go and 7.5 million is a good price. Could we buy anyone better than Broady for less than 7.5 million to replace Hutch?

He won’t be here at the end of the window, it really is as simple as that.

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…

It's funny but about 2 weeks ago I was wondering what we were going to do with 8 number 10s in the our squad and the 25-man limit approaching. Then in the last few days , we've got some still coming back from long term injuries, new injuries after Auxerre, one possibly moving on to another Championship club and one with his head not right. That probably leaves 4 from 8 we can reasonably hope can start well at Brum. I too hope Broady stays but understand completely if he wants a new challenge elsewhere.

I think he can be excellent, but also can be completely anonymous. Him coming on yesterday was an example of the anonymous.

When he is on form he can turn a game. Unfortunately though he goes absent too much. I think if Omari goes, we'll push to stay. I get its his home club but surely it makes more footballing sense to play for a club tipped to go up than one who are in all likelihood going to be battling to avoid the drop?

Wrexham are pretty ambitious and, most importantly, not sure how happy Broady is here. He was very close to a move to Sunderland last year. He'd be a massive signing for Wrexham and top dog... as opposed to being a squad player. I can see him going, but want him to stay.

Personally I think he’ll still go. The money from him and Hutch will get reinvested in someone like Fellows or perhaps Doak. It’s too good a deal for us to turn down

Not sure they are signing the right players to be ambitious and their squad value is no where near others. We said the same last season and that didn’t end well. Of the promoted clubs, only thing Brum will stay up and give it a go. Wrexham are in for a shock. Two relegation places up or grabs with Wednsday
