Just my opinion but ive followed boxing for years and seen many Wardleys in my time who have a punch but unfortunately lack that know how when the going gets tough. Wardley got lucky last time, yes you can make your own luck, but you can't do that many times. Not having that amateur pedigree is a massive disadvantage. I dont think people realise how big that is. I would absolutely love to see him win and will be cheering him on from my sofa but I just can't see it. I think Parker wins easily. [Post edited 7 Sep 16:57]

Just my opinion but ive followed boxing for years and seen many Wardleys in my time who have a punch but unfortunately lack that know how when the going gets tough. Wardley got lucky last time, yes you can make your own luck, but you can't do that many times. Not having that amateur pedigree is a massive disadvantage. I dont think people realise how big that is. It's not Parker from five years ago. He has had some big defeats, and bruising fights that went the distance against heavy hitters. They take a toll.
Wardley has better than a puncher's chance, in my opinion. He has massive heart. Parker is the favourite, but Wardley has earned the right to be in the same ring as him and will cause him problems. |  | | |

Exactly this.
There is genuinely no point in him waiting around taking tune up fights. He is at his ceiling now ability wise. Take the big fight when they come. |  |

He didn't 'get lucky' last time, he connected with a knockout punch that won the fight. That's kind of how boxing works, doesn't mean he will be always able to repeat the trick but there was nothing lucky about that punch against Huni.
I do agree that Parker will probably have too much for him though. |  | | |
