We could end up regretting not getting another striker in. Given the stakes with the money we’ve spent overall, a proven striker to push Hirst may well have been a better option. Azon could still come good of course, but he’s not close to claiming Hirst’s spot any time soon. I’d be picking Akpom ahead of him. Terry thingy sums it up: “he’s found it difficult tonight. His work rate is good, his enthusiasm is good”. He’s a future prospect, but we need players who can dominate the league this season. | |
