He’ll do well there. Revisit a permanent deal in the summer off the back of a successful spell.
Had his best spell in the PL of the left, but never really was utilised there long term. Ultimately, was never a good fit for us, wish him all the best. |  | | |

Only a couple of days ago KMc said he's going nowhere if our valuation wasn't met, after Derby and Wrexham had made overtures. Phil stating we were looking for £6m, then we let him out on loan. All a bit odd. |  | | |

The only thing that sticks in my mind is that earlier in the season at a home game when they all came over to us in the north to clap at the end, Szmods had his shirt a bit ripped I think from the game, but then got into a bit of a wrestling match with one of our players. It looked half jokey but then half serious. His shirt got even more torn. I can't remember the game or who the other player was and frankly it's probably nonsense and meaningless but it's stuck with me.
We never really played to his strengths but that spurs goal and city will always be there. [Post edited 2 Feb 22:09]
