Evening all

As some know my dad went into hospital prior to Xmas. Hes still there but doing well.

Today I visited him and took my laptop and it was lovely to sit and watch the game witb him. Something not done for a long while together. Hes not changed with it. Hes definitely one of those get rid of it types lol. But ill happily hear that when ever we watch it.

Onto the game. Very professional job. Around the 22nd minute I said to my dad itll be a pen that gets derby back in It if we dont score. I wasnt afraid if them scoring any other way. But found they got into dangerous little pockets inside our box a fair bit and were tricky in that respect

From town.. many chances. Similar story to many occasions this season but all in all a really tidy performance.

Mehmeti. What a bloody player he is. Reminds me of a more attacking version of Wharton the way he just goes about his business.

Wes. Excellent shift. Unlucky with the close shot. Deserved a goal
I didn't feel It was clarkes best game but he didnt go through many toiblesome periods in the games losing the ball etc

Mcateer.. great cameo off the bench and davis I couldn't believe he put his head on it.. but my God what a header.

All in all. An extremely positive performance.

I’m glad your dad is doing well. It was a lovely thing to do to watch the game with him today. Precious moments.

Saw Mehmeti last week. My seat neighbour described him as a ‘proper player’. And he is.

Ditto all the messages about your dad (sounds similar to mine re: get rid of it).

Funny how two people can see the same game differently. I thought Clarke was superb, particularly in the first half. Conversely, that Burns had a quiet game. Agree totally about Mehmeti. The ball he played to Burns for his chance was unbelievably good.

What a great start to a review mate! Glad you got to watch it with your dad and what a great win to go with that.

Pretty bang on summary as well. Don't always agree with you but you had me inside from the start in this one!

Clarke was very good at times but frustrating at others. A mixed bag from him today from what I saw.

Lovely thing to do and im sure it will have helped your Dad further into rec.

As for the game, really enjoyed being part of that away end and concur with everyone about Memeti , though I've never had any worries about that signing as I have wanted us to sign him from the first time I saw him play against us!..

I also thought there was a slight increase in tempo which helped work them a bit more for the finishing subs to take advantage of.
Anis and Clarke not playing so rigid in position also helped move the about and Clarke quite often vacated the space in front of Leif for him to do his stuff ala 23/24.
Dan Neil is the driving midfielder we have been crying out for.
Nice to see KM front and centre and enjoying it at the end too!
