We will have to take care of business. Very annoyingly they aren't going away. But hopefully we can get it done before we play them!!

They aren't going to win all their remaining games, and we would also have to lose a few and that's not going to happen.

They could easily win all their remaining fixtures. The cup semi could mean they focus on that and slip up

It wouldn't shock me at all. They are playing really well, confidence sky high and their fixtures are extremely favourable. Swansea away probably their hardest and I would expect them to see them off fairly comfortably.

But it only matters if we really stumble. And a draw against them would be just fine but again at their place that's a big task.

9-10 points does it regardless. Let's just put the hammer down.

They have:

Blackburn H - Battling relegation. Positive result in 12/21 away games. Unbeaten in 5
Swansea A - Lost just ONE of their last ELEVEN at home in the league
Bristol City H - Two wins and a draw since Hodgson came in. Only one conceded in those 3.
**Cup Semi**
Ipswich H - Unbeaten in 9. One league loss in last 12. 10 points from 12 in last four away games.
Preston A - Unbeaten in 4. Positive result in 15/21 home games.

They are capable but it would be some feat to keep up that level.

Southampton needs to be the free hit …. Or better still, wrapped it up by then!

Middlesboro look beatable. Pompey aren’t great despite win today. Charlton at the Valley - look poor.

I watched the Boro v Portsmouth game and Portsmouth looked a very poor team.

Haven't won at The Valley since 2015. Now would be a good time to change the record - we managed to today.

Other than QPR on final day, every team we're due to face has something to play for. Can only hope things might change for the likes of Charlton, West Brom and Southampton before we go there.

If we win 3 of the next 4 before we go there it’s done. Or if we win 2 and they drop and points I guess it’s pretty much over as well right?

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

Budgies were the form Championship team going in to today and they didn't really get anywhere near us.

If Southampton finish above us we'll have completely imploded. Why do we think that's likely or even possible? Yeh, because we are long suffering and/or miserable sods. Sure, it's possible we implode and don't pick up any more points but it's equally if not more likely Saints do the same.

1/9 in the markets for top 2. Southampton won and went from 14-1 to 25-1, which shows the how important our win was. Massive.

Win Tuesday and we need 7 points from 6 games and that’s worse case scenario! Suggest it will probably be a few less.

Of course going to Pompey is tough but they just travelled and were defending for 90 minutes. We should be able to use the squad down there.

Such a huge win today. I was pretty relaxed for once cos even a loss wasn't going to be a disaster, BUT winning was always going to be massive.

We defended and played very well, notwithstanding our usual cheap giving away possession, but also got the rub of the green. Ref bottled sending Leif and Nunez off. Tbf budgie players could have also been in more trouble too.

A lot of Stockholm syndrome going on.

It's possible but fooking unlikely. And as I say, if it's possible for Town to lose the plot then so it is for Saints.

It's ridiculous.

Their current record is won 5 of the last 6, drawing the other one. They are a side full of confidence and playing well too. We need to get things done before we play them.
