I never want to see a display like last night again 08:19 - Apr 15 with 1196 viewsRonFearonsHair

A complete insult to my eyes.

I mean, blue socks with that kit. Really??

Performance wasn't up to much either.

Completely agree. A Sunday League kit made worse by blue socks. Truly awful.

This seems to be a controversial take but I actually liked it better with Blue socks. It just broke up the sea of red a bit.

I agree. One team wore red shirts and blue socks and the other wore blue shirts and red socks; the team that normally plays in blue shirts was playing in red shirts; and a chap called Bishop who was wearing a blue shirt was not Teddy ...

What was reassuringly familiar was that there was a Dozzell playing in blue and I didn't realise he was on the pitch until the 20th minute.

Which says a lot about how weak we were in centre midfield.

Why did they wear the red? Blue socks with red kit looked ridiculous. I assume it was a late change when someone belatedly realised Portsmouth wear red socks.. although they have only been wearing that colour since 1946.

That kit is not great anyway. The blue socks kinda made it better i thought!

I was thinking, why didn't we wear the Black kit?

This is probably stupid, but I never feel confident when we play in red.

To be fair there have been some stinker performances in the grey kit too, so it's probably more to do with away games in general.

Poll: What rating out of 10 do you give to Ipswichs season up to this point?

I have a feeling we have a better record in the red kit than the grey one, but I haven't checked the records.

I suggest you don't watch any Town games away if you don't want to see another performance that bad. Apparently we have only beaten one team away at the bottom in the form of Sheffield Wednesday.
Why players like Philogene aren't as good away as at home amazes me given how good he is.
Maybe he's a shrinking violet away from home.
If we fail to get promotion the need to find out why we are so good at home and so poor away (Norwich apart) needs to be sorted.
My theory is maybe the pitches. PR being like a bowling green which suits our style.
Sometimes home comforts can lull you into a false sense of security.

Almost spot on, I'd say virtually non existent.
