Brian Barry Murphy speaks well 01:00 - Jun 13 with 1625 viewsunstableblue

… albeit in a pretty thick Cork accent

He’s currently 4th favourite

I like what he has to say, and comes across as having a good ethos

No idea of how he coaches or style of football

But Man City coach.. then strong record at Cardiff

A gamble

Not sure what I want then we all have a different view my concern is a young upcoming manager may get spat out and not cope particularly well if we have a poor start, feel we need someone who can deflect the heat off the players and cope with the pressure.

I think he will be a very good manager, but surely far too big a risk going form a league one manager to a manager in the PL with a bigger expectation this time round to keep the club in the league?

Not so young though, 47, I think. But clearly on the rise.

I think in some ways, BBM would excite me most. Although, it's a hell of a jump up.

This Norwegian dude. He's done brilliantly.... but he's 57 and spent all of his time working in the Norwegian league. Granted.... did well in Europe, but your first job at 57 outside his home country in the PL. I just get a bad feeling about it. It's going to be a massive culture shock.

None of the others excite me. Maybe they shouldn't. We just need someone to get us 4th from bottom.

I wouldn't be totally against it but as you say big big gamble with no top flight experience anywhere in the world.

Too big a risk. Massive jump up. Would be out of his depth.

When Bournemouth took on Andoni he had done well at Rayo Vallecano, taking them up via the play-offs. BBM has done similar with Cardiff, albeit that he finished as runner up and it was L1. (although you could argue that our L1 is harder than Spain's second tier). He's not young, has an aura about him and would not likely be fazed.
