Not good. First time in years I’ve had one of those. Painful. Remedy? Pull the remains of the sting out. Scrape offending site with a fingernail. Run under cold water to deaden the area and rinse. Wash with pure soap and water. Let dry, apply sting relief/ anti histamine cream sparingly. Job done! For people who react badly to stings, seek medical attention! Edit: and don’t forget to hop on one foot like a village idiot and swear loudly. It always helps [Post edited 26 Jun 19:38]

And thorns and nettles and broken beer bottles and dog poo and all manner of nastiness. This is something that drippy hippies forget when they want to connect with the earth.

| Today’s Health Tip on 20:49 - Jun 26 with 661 views | Hugoagogo_Reborn | I had the unfortunate experience of getting an angry, drowsy wasp fly down the top of my dress at Newmarket races one August day. It was a high necked dress so goodness knows how it managed to get in, but the obvious issue was how to get it out again. Well, I got stung multiple times before it escaped. That was not at all fun. Wasps in August are like angry, drunk teenagers. | |

Wasps stings are worse than bees because if you can get the sting out from the latter quickly enough the discomfort is reasonably limited.if you treat it properly. Mrs C actually sat on a big wasp in Skiathos. And it was big. It had a flying jacket and goggles. Well it wasn’t happy and neither was Mrs C. A yaroop special. Obviously somebody getting stung on the @rse is hilarious (had it been a mate we’d have been rolling in the aisles) but had I expressed more than concern for Mrs C, it would have meant returning in a box. A visit to the pharmacy was made and all was well. [Post edited 26 Jun 21:29]

I’d imagine neither is ‘happy days are here again’

I can think of a worse place to be stuck! Not that I have any proof cos who would be stupid enough to stick that into a bee hive

As long as you make sure you hop on the good foot! Just seen Joffra Archer get a finger in the eye celebrating a wicket!
