Which highlights the difference between then and now.

Previously we stayed in matches for 60-70 minutes but then tire with the opposition bringing on international class substitutes. Now we could well be doing the same.

I’m hopeful that we can stay up but confident that we’ll give the PL a much better go than last time.

Agree completely. Bench for our opener against Liverpool:

Used: Harness, Taylor, Al-Hamadi, Johnson, Szmodics.

Unused: Slicker, Burgess, Townsend, Phillips.

4 are in the Championship, 2 in L1. 3 still here but I don't think any of those would make our bench now. Nor would half the starting lineup either for that matter.
