| Did Ashton or the club ever explain the 8xBet sponsorship? 16:27 - Oct 1 with 1331 views | Illinoisblue | Vaguely recall they were deemed to be a Prem League sponsor? They are currently on the club website as a Regional Partner. Good job they’re not dodgy at all. | |

| Did Ashton or the club ever explain the 8xBet sponsorship? on 16:45 - Oct 1 with 1257 views | Zx1988 | I remember when I and some others raised it with the club back in 2024, the response was broadly along the lines of "8xBet also partner with other clubs such as Man City and Bournemouth, who have done their due diligence", as if that somehow proved them to be legitimate. It stank then, and it stinks twice as much now. | |

It doesn't make it right but when Town began the partnership with them and then extended it, 8xbet had an agreement with TGP Europe which meant they technically had a UK licence. 8xbet are one of many foreign brands who have partnered with TGP and have an associated with English teams. Again, not justifying it, but a lot of the red flags are with the benefit of hindsight. The links on the website now go to Gamcare so I would imagine we're just waiting for the contract to end before removing any mention of them.

So if someone else has done their due diligence, we don't need to do so ourselves? Hmm....

All good info but why not just remove the link and end the association immediately. (What is the deal even worth to the club?) Why tiptoe around these charlatans? Why should genuine and decent sponsors have to be tainted by these chancers?

Would love to know how much has actually been paid to the club. Or was supposed to have been paid.

Is that directed towards whether ITFC has acted in an irresponsible way (or worse) or directed at whether Man City has on a much bigger scale? Personally, I do about both. In fact, anyone who cares about one and not the other would (to me) appear to be hypocritical.

Or if we’re entering agreements with either dodgy companies or companies that may renege on their promises and possibly not pay the club. There are many reasons why entering partnerships with trustworthy partners is preferable aren’t there. I’d have thought it’s quite important.
