![]() Wednesday, 16th Sep 2009 19:45 Crystal Palace have been handed their second transfer embargo of the season after failing to pay an instalment due to Town as part of the fee for Alan Lee. The Irishman joined the Eagles for £650,000 a year ago. Palace boss Neil Warnock says he expects to be able to make transfers again within a relatively short space of time: “We are aware of the embargo, we just have to get on with it. “I'm hopeful it will be lifted in the next few weeks, so in the meantime we just have to crack on with things.” Earlier in the summer, Warnock revealed that Town’s unwillingness to be flexible regarding the cash due for Lee led to the striker’s proposed move to Barnsley breaking down: "We couldn't sell him for the money which we still owed Ipswich, so we had to keep him. "Barnsley made us an offer, but Ipswich wouldn't do us a favour on the finance front, so he stayed.”
