Club Dismiss Keane Exit Claim

Town have dismissed this morning's newspaper report claiming that manager Roy Keane was set to be sacked as "complete and utter rubbish".

A club spokesman said: "Roy was given the owner’s full backing last month and nothing at all has changed since then."

Face it - he is not going anywhere - Whilst we can all see where he has failed in the transfer market - strikers- he has improved the defence - where all good teams start from.PLUS ..Evans and Clegg appointed him with a 2 year goal of promotion - we are not relegated and whilst the results have been crap I believe we will turn it around .
Keane is a big name and we( Little old Ipswich)with our 'nice' traditions have to accept that sections of the press hate him as do alot of the country (inc Ipswich fans)
I think his biggest weakness has been in his appointment of coach - The guy Tony? - by all accounts - is weak . I think Keane needs to accept that he needs a 'better' coaching staff behind him and this was recognised afew weeks back when Taylor came to the club . The only way he will go , I believe , is if he is told he has to bring in a stronger right hand man , and he refuses
I want him to succeed - I get the feeling alot of Ipswich 'fans' never wanted him to succeed - because of who he is .
Get behind him at least ...
