Town have dismissed this morning's newspaper report claiming that manager Roy Keane was set to be sacked as "complete and utter rubbish".

A club spokesman said: "Roy was given the owner’s full backing last month and nothing at all has changed since then."

no comments = no answers and a reality check by the devotees who now i think have realised there is overwhelming support against Keane and they cant think of any reasons why Keane deserves more time.

Well you know Scottyblue i'm not an Ipswich fan but i do take an interest. It seems he has been signed to turn a club which has not been doing well of late around and that takes more than 6 or 7 months. I understand the frustration, God knows i have had plenty of that with my club but he has been up there and played at the highest level with the best and did a decent job with Sunderland, I think just a tad more patience will see them climb the table, He is a no nonsense guy and don't think for a second he doesn't know where the problems are within the squad. Give him a season at the very least.

oh well that's it then - kiss of death, he'll be gone before you can say 'dogwalk'

scottyblue, for the record you are very much in the minority of wanting Keano sacked. Perhaps if you and CGS actually went to a game you would understand this.
Ask yourself why (if you think everybody wants Keano out) you dont hear the discontent at the ground?
The job Keano has had to undertake here is massive, if you had gone to watch us play Southampton last year you yourself would have realised his task. That Game was the worst I have seen an Ipswich side play since David Best was in goal.
In Keano we trust

pickles. i have had a season ticket since i was 6 years old, thats 15 years now, so yes i do go to games, we have no killer instinct, he needed to get players in to get goals, he didnt do that, and look at our record this season, u cant win games withouts scoring goals mate, how can u be happy???

Scottyblue 21 months is that!!
you behaviour is akin to a toddler.Grow up.
If you do go to games, and trust me i dont believe that you do,you would see that 99% of the crowd, the real fans, are behind Keane, and it would be you and your palygroup buddies that are in the minority.
And as for CGS, we established weeks ago the closest he gets to PR is talking to us regulars on here,so his assertion that the majority want Keane out is as accurate as this story.
Keane will be with us for years,'cos ME wants him here, whether we do or not!

And one more thing, where is this fabled messiah. This fabulous goalscorer.
This magic man who will score 20+ goals?
They are like rocking horse sh*t, and are not 10 a penny.
If one was avaialble, do you honestly think Keane would not be out there signing him up?
Yes we need as striker that scores lots of goals, but so do 91 other clubs

it was probaly piers morgan that prat hates keane, keano keano we love you keano we do.

scottyblue87 added 18:57 - Nov 23
either way, what 20+ striker would want to come to a club in our positition??

AJblue added 18:58 - Nov 23
Scotty,my point is..
My 3 year old has this thing where she wants it now,and in my past experience so do all kids.
It seems to me that you and a lot of others on here have that same mentality.
Patience is all that is needed.

The "I want it now" mentality is rife amongst adults as well. That's why most people are up to their eyes in debt.

well said some of the posters on here - and to the others, I think it might be necessary to point out that the earth is actually round, which could explain why your heads are in the sand almost half way to Oz.

Sorry - the saying used to be that love is blind, but it should probably now be altered to 'some Keane lovers are blind'. They'll only believe it tho when we're on 25 points with 8 games left in the season*, at which point it'll be too late.
*our current rate of 'progress'

Scotty, exactly.
But what you are missing, all 20+ strikers have felt this way long before Keane.
We are a provincial club, with a relatively small fanbase, and stuck too close to Norfolk!
All of this has and will go against us,and when a decent striker has a certain number of clubs to pick from, we were never going to be high on a list.

In truth, if i was dissappointed with Keane in any way, its is because, i thought with his fame in the game, all of that would end, i thought he would attract that BIG name.
He hasnt, but again i 'spose its not his fault, he never promised a big name, i just assumed, and you know what happends when you assume?

I would like to think that there is no-one out there as passionate about ITFC as me, but thats bullsh*t, and i know it. We are all as passionate as one another, but i do believe that because of where we are ,nationally, we will struggle to attract this "super" player...now thats my idea of realism.

PS sorry if i made it personal, i was wrong.
In my defence, my passion for ITFC overtook my rational brain, and when i see someone bashing ITFC, especially when they are a Town fan, i see red. (sorry again)

I think why Scotty and Callum say the things they do is because they are frustrated by the lack of quality seen this season with Ipswich and Roy Keane in charge! Also some of the very poor changes Keano as made ie- Rhodes,Haynes,Counago,Wright,Healey etc. But in there eye`s if he was that good, why are we 2nd from bottom, yes i do go to games and we have played some rubbish, but also feel we turned the corner and must stick together. Byebye and CGS still showing the love as ever

Why dont you 2 put yourself forward as a new dynamic managerial partnership? You 2 know so much about the club, how to manage the team and how to get us promoted so im backing you 2 to get your CV's in

I have had a season ticket since i was 6 years old

I have been home and away since i was 4 years old

I want curbishley because he is nice and will be great for us!!!

Its all so boring, so why dont your stop chatting rubbish on here and get yourselves down to portman road and apply for the job, i would love to see it

When are some people going to realise that as well as Keane the players have to take responsibility for churning out sh*** on the pitch, these lads are all on good money and should be playing for it, they simply are not doing it.

Strikers

Pablo - when has he ever been a 20 goal a season striker??? He is some kind of hero that will save us all???? Not happening

Priskin - Wondering how he ever had a 1.7mil price tag

Stead - never been a great striker or goal getter

Whickham - WIll be in Chelsea signing within a couple of weeks when his old man is staring at a cheque made out to him for a wheel barrow load of cash

We need a striker, and a quality one before Thursday, not sure its gonna happen

Lets sack Keane because CGS and bye bye said so, at the end of the day these lads know what they are talking about

Waiting for your attack lads.....................

its no problem, we are all entitled to our opinions, but at the end of the day all our hearts are in the same place.
sorry if i caused offence to you
and in my defence i didnt bash ITFC at any time, only Roy Keane.
Town fans should stick together, but im still sticking with my opinion that something needs to change, but if Keane does stay and does turn it round, i will be the first to hold my hands up and admit i am wrong

Clegg is too scared to sack Keane, ANY other manager would have been given the boot by now no doubt!
