Town have dismissed this morning's newspaper report claiming that manager Roy Keane was set to be sacked as "complete and utter rubbish".

A club spokesman said: "Roy was given the owner’s full backing last month and nothing at all has changed since then."

Now that Garvan's back I'll give Keane another chance.

Burley's return would NOT be the answer. If we're stepping back in time I'd sooner have Royle back.

Get rid of him, he is making a laughing stock of my club, he is destroying its very reputation. Go Keane go!

Injured his its nto his pov that we are rubbish it is a fact that you cant face!

Drawing 5 games in 6 does not equal a 'decent run' it shows how inadequate we ar at finishing!

But yes I am gutted to read this story.

All I want for xmas is for him to be sacked, oh and some luck in Vegas!

Not much fun in league 1/3rd division is it?, I suppose i would go on other boards and fullfill some excitement. Oh and I cant wait for "your" friends COL U to take some points and cash from you...cash that to be honest might kill you off for good, which will mean ridgeons league for the scummy budgies!!

What do you Keane haters think will happen if he goes (which I doubt, and very much hope he doesn't)? That some magic man will come in and make everyone play better and we'll just jump up the table. Keane is building a team and yes it isn't going great but I don't believe there is anyone who will come here and can do a better job.
Who is going to take the job? Burley? When things were going bad before getting relegated from Premiership and starting badly in the Championship he had no idea how to pull us out of it.
Keane is the man who can do this, him more than anyone wants this club to be successful, if he fails here he'll have no chance of another job anywhere. He needs this more than we do.

Can people stop having a go at Priskin. Its just a bandwagon at the moment.

He is clearly a technically gifted player, but is severely lacking in service at the moment, he will deffo come good with the right partner!!

Was disappointed that he kept drifting off side, but at least this shows he tries to stretch the back line. He took up some great positions on sat, but no one had the skill to pick him out.

Looking forward to Norris returning so that Leadbitter can push on!!

If any of you want a hint as to RK's true personality take a look at last weeks BBC Interview when the reporters phone went off!! The lunatic has taken over the assylum, if he treats players that way no wonder they don't perform well. His comments about the Irish FA (all personal) were well out of order at an Ipswich Town press conference. He's like a petulant child and is an embarrasment to the club......if he stays in charge, then say bye bye to the Championship!!

injuredanimal: like Callumgarryskeemer said it is my POV and alot of other pov. and i watch it because i am an ipswich town supporter, i am not going to give up on the club i love. I want the best for town and personally Keane is not the man for the job. I dont like betting odds but at the beginning of the season we were 4th favourites to go up after the 3 relegated teams. we are currently bottom of the league. Explain that to me and how Keane has done a good job for us?? im being realistic mate. He has done an awful job so far and i cant see how people can be happy he is our manager by winning one game all season and getting draws against, lets face it, very below average teams. If Sheff Wed were playing well on saturday they would have walked it, just like every other game where we have drawn.

KEANE OUT!!!

Rosenoir ,Mac , Delaney, Wright
Edwards,Leadbitter,Garvan,Walters
Stead, Counago

It is a good team that should have been played along time ago and we will win games . Last seasons core with a few additions that was all that was needed .Priskin and Wickham to come off bench to change it up . Norris and Civelli to also come in, the squad is fine and if Keane continues to fall short he will have to go that is football .
Amazing we kept a clean sheet with Garvan in the side and no holding midfielder !!!,should have been recalled after the Preston game when we couldnt break down 10 men .

Been a Town supporter for over forty years so I remember when "Fans" were calling for Sir Bobby's head, Bobby Ferguson's head, Cyril Lea's head... I could go on. "Those Were The Days" couldn't be a more appropriate name for an Ipswich Town site, we all seem to remember a Golden Age but forget all the years of hard work and building that led to our few days in the sun. Give Keane time and support, have some faith.

CGS in Vegas? New spin-off of CSI? :0)

If the internet had been around in 1969 I don't think Bobby Robson would have survived for long.

Personally i do not think sacking keane would be the correct decision right now, but the decision is down to one man, Mr. Evans. How long will he allow his name to be associated with failure in the press? However, if you remember when Jim was sacked, the replacement was already in place. Maybe when as the report sais "meetings took place on sunday", these meetings were more along these lines and the targeted replacement has not been found.
And as for the BBC who reported ITFC as the Norfolk club this morning, you stupid, tihck bunch of £%@#$!!!!!

THANKYOU Callum, am very glad i am not alone with my views.
These bellievers need to think realistically.
I cannot physcially understand how people can still believe in him, its amazing how ignorant some people can be

JohnTy- There may be some people on here who think that they can influence Marcus Evan's decision-making process with their posts.

But, the reality is that they can't.

Can somene tell me why people think the sun shines out of this blokes backside...........................casue it certainly does not.

How in the name of all that is blue and white can anyone say this bloke has done us any good.

One fact stands out above everything else" He spend around £8million and we are second from botttom with 17 games played needing 3 straight wins to get out of the relagation zone" That in anyones language is a crap record.

His job is to manage the team and win games and he has failed to do that. The table and results speak for themselves.

6 games unbeaten is a fake picture 5 draws and a win is NOT top half finishing. It's relegation battle result and it is dam close to starting now.

Blind faith does NOT get us into saftey, points do, wins do and we need a proper football manager to do that not a mdia figure head.

Don't want any bloke to loose his job, but he ain't skint nor will he walk away with one weeks money and 10 woodbine

Can any of you Keane fans give me a sensible reason as to why he should stay on?

Seriously,1 win in 17 is pathetic & unless something changes now we are going to be in league 1 next season..we need at least 50pts to avoid the drop - that means another 37pts for those of you who can't do the sums - which means we need to start winning asap.

It's all very well to keep on and on and on saying "trust in keane" & "COYB" but you need to pull your heads out of the sand - stop being backwards.

Over the last 2 months we have played teams that we should be beating NOT scraping draws against - are you satisfied with that?..if you are then you are the ones with no ambition or pride in this club.

I have zero faith in Keane & his results & constant team rotation are proving my points game after game...it's amateurish.

Those of you who think we'd definately get relegated if we change managers now - how can you possibly back that argument up?!..fresh ideas are needed & any half-decent manager could get this squad (which I believe to be pretty good) flying up the table and away from the drop.

There is a chant that comes and goes in the North/Bobby Robson stand " sing your hearts out for the lads" , well i'd luv to see the players PLAYING THEIR HEARTS OUT FOR THE FANS whoever the manager is!!

I heard from a Certain ex player that RK doesn't attend training sessions? How can he (and I as a season ticket holder) be confident that a certain player is showing improvement when he isn't there to witness it? I'm not knocking the Gaffer as someone like Roy Keane is the right man to eventually bring the good times back to Portman Road, but I truly believe in a style of management who take an active part in training sessions (like George Burley used to do). However, I don't agree with some of the boo boys on here who claim they are loyal supporters saying we'll get relegated/League 1 etc... Look at how many we have lost.... Teams above us have lost a hell of a lot more - so stop your Keane bashing and Show your true colours or F'Koff up the A140!

CGS- I dont think he is some sort of god, far from it. I just believe in giving managers time, and we as a club have always been known for that, and hopefully continue to do so. If things don't improve then yes, i will be happy to look at the options.

I get sick of fans who want managers heads all the time, and what pisses me off more than anything is that YOU don't have anything to say apart from "KEANE OUT" on every single article. It's boring. We know your views, so why don't you give us all something constructive to discuss and maybe some of your ideas and thoughts on what you would do to the team. But you can't, because you don't go to any games, enough said.

Well put Hype.
C'mon, now hype has thrown down the gauntlet, give us your in depth thoughts.
Just a little tip " Keane out" is not a particular deep thought or argument.

And as hype has said, i dont think anyone worships Keane,'cept maybe a few Manyoo fans.
I just believe to be a supporter, the absolute minimum you can do is support.
