I see McAuley is walking away with it. I wonder is this the same McAuley that most people who post on this site wanted to throw off the Orwell bridge earlier this season?

Most people or a handful of reactionary idiots?

Maybe the criticism earlier in the season is why he's so popular?

We've had alot of players criticised, dropped from the team, transfer listed etc and Big Mac is a perfect example of someone who has taken this criticism on board and becoming a better player for us. Very worthy winner so I hope he gets it :)

Delaney.
Not only for being excellent himself, but for giving McAuley the necessary support and cover to allow him to play well aswell.

In fairness McAuley was pretty woeful in the opening few games (along with many other players). He even admitted himself. However, he has come good and deserves the credit. Personally I have voted for Delaney, who has also shone after a dreadful start.

Surprised Pablo has 4 votes - he has scored just one goal and is apparently a striker!

no hype, I doubt even they would vote for him. He probably did it himself.

i would go for delaney .he had a very shakey start but once he was moved to central defence he has been a different player

Mc Auley ,took loads of flac at start of season ,admitted he didnt have the best of starts ,but previous season he was a rock, i reckon the way he has come through it this year and not let it get to him he is worthy candidate ,he gets my vote .

I gave my vote to Peters, it was a toss up between him and DD. I figured BigMac already won an award and these guys were just as worthy. Peters has played every postion under the sun this season and played well in them. I reckon if we didn't sign Lee-Barrett we might have got Peters to play in goal! DD is as solid as a rock at the back.

bennyblue and lightning boy, you surely don't go to many games if any at all because you would have the worst time ever. Is there anything positive you can say about Ipswich Town FC? I know you have had a great season and you both must be chuffed to bits that your canaries are champions, so why don't you stopped having a ago at all and sundry at the club!

Why is Begovic not on the list ? Other loan players are. The season changed when he was in goal, the defenders gained confidence once they had a good keeper behind them. He is not going to win but should be on the list to vote for.

Big Mac, he even weighed in with some goals this year. I suspect more than some strikers. Doesnt mean he should have the ' curse of the captains armband 'again though.
